Family Weekend

September 29 - October 1

Join us for the numerous activities we have scheduled for the entire family!

Each fall, CNU welcomes parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends of current students to spend a weekend experiencing the best of what campus life has to offer. This opportunity allows students to share what they love about being a Captain with the people they love most, whether that's cheering on the Captains at the football game, attending a classroom lecture, having a meal in the dining hall, or just hanging out on the Great Lawn. Your family is invited to take part in this Christopher Newport tradition that is sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Registration is $30 per family and is non-refundable.

To ensure that your registration goes smoothly, below are some helpful hints and instructions.

You will be required to create an account in our Iris Registration system.  This will allow you the ability to edit your registrations.

You will have 20 minutes to complete the first registration.  Be sure and have the count of how many will be attending, the names of all attending, and payment information.

Each person that is coming will need to have their information entered into the system.  At the end of the first registration, you will see a button near the top left of the page that says "to add another registrant".  Click on that and you'll be directed back to a page that will ask for the first name, last name and type of registration.  This must be done for each person attending.

If you need to edit the information on your page, you will need to click on the name of the person you wish to edit.

The $30 registration fee is non-refundable.  However, if you need a refund on a Family Weekend add-on such as brunch or a t-shirt, please contact the Office of University Events at cnuevents@cnu.edu
