The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) and Christopher Newport University’s Center for American Studies (CAS) jointly present the 2024 NDTA-CAS Surface Force Projection Conference (SFPC), "Ready Now – Contested Joint Force Deployments to & through Strategic Ports", May 14-17 at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.

The SFPC brings together U.S. government and industry logistics andtransportation experts, and members of the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLE), to examine a wide range of challenges associated with moving and sustaining U.S. military forces operating in and through highly contested environments to provide integrated logistics and transportation support when and where it is needed. 

An optional lunch is available for Wednesday, May 15 for additional price of $15. Lunch must be purchased by May 02. If you do not order lunch in advance, it cannot be ordered on-campus. If you are unsure at the time of your registration if you will be at the event for lunch on May 15, you can return to your account profile and order lunch at a later date, but not after midnight on May 02. Lunch is non-refundable.

The bus to the Port of Virginia will depart from the Newport News Marriott at City Center, 740 Town Center Drive, Newport News, VA 23606, at 3:15pm.  If you are a local area attendee, you may also drive your personal vehicle and meet the bus at 3:45pm at the Norfolk International Terminal, at the 1600 Baker Street parking lot.


This tour is on a first come, first served basis.  Capacity is limited.

Refreshments will be served.
Will return to the hotel by 8:00PM
