The 2024 Hampton Roads Social Justice Conference

The HRSJC is bringing together researchers, policy makers, elected official, non-profit organization, community activists, business leaders, the faith community and other from across Virginia to address issues related to social justice. The conference will include multiple concurrent sessions, keynote speakers, a non-profit fair, and poster session, as well as breakfast and lunch each day.


Early bird registration (closes 3/09/24)

Regular registration (3/10/23 - 4/01/24)   $100
Late/Day of registration (4/02/23 - 4/10/24)
   $150
Student registration    $50

Registrants will be able to request a table at the non-profit fair as part of the registration process.

CNU will not be providing lodging this event, however, CNU has arranged for discounted rooms at the City Center Marriott:

If you are registering more than one person, at the end of your first registration, before you go to the final payment, you will find a button towards the top left that says "Add Another Registrant".

Tuesday April 9:

8 - 9 am
   Breakfast and registration
9 - 10:30 am
   Keynote Speaker
10:30 - 5 pm
   Concurrent session with lunch approximately at Noon.


Wednesday April 10:

8 - 9 am    Breakfast and registration
9 - 10:30 am    Keynote Speaker
10:30 - 3:50 pm    Concurrent session with lunch approximately at Noon.
3:50 -  6:30 pm    Non-Profit Fair and Poster Session

The conference will conclude on Wednesday with a Non-Profit Fair and Poster Session, which will take place from 4:00 - 6:30 pm in the DSU Ballroom. Virginia non-profit organizations will be on hand to discuss their outreach and efforts and researchers from across the state and beyond will be displaying their justice-oriented research. We will have hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
